OW2con’25 conference: a key event in the open source arena, addressing this year “open source and responsible AI”.
With five keynote from international experts, three breakout sessions, 40 talks and a partner area with sponsor product showcases, attendees will have the opportunity to discover the latest in open source innovations and to enjoy unparalleled networking opportunities.
Paris, 7 May 2025 - OW2, the international community of open source software for information systems is proud to announce the program of its 2025 annual conference, next June 17-18 in Orange Gardens conference center in Paris-Châtillon.
The annual conference of the OW2 community brings together developers, companies, academics and non-profit organizations, and offers unique networking opportunities between open source contributors and professionals.
2025 Main theme : Open Source and Responsible AI
This year’s theme will lift the hood and look beyond the AI buzz: open source and commons, data, sovereignty, privacy, explainability, legal framework, technical stack, funding and economy, sustainability, research and education, interaction with people, impact on work and society, etc. How will open source contribute to this transformation and help build a responsible AI?
The program covers various topics : Funding and open source commons ; Technologies ; Community and governance ; AI, data, cloud edge & security. Three OW2 projects will be highlighted during the OW2con’25 Best Project Awards ceremony, and an open debate on the topic of “open source and sovereignty in Europe” will close the event.

• The European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) regulation and impact on open source actors, coordinated by CNLL and inno³.
