Project News

Project Updates

  • FusionDirectory: on May 25 FusionDirectory organized their first community days. A nice occasion to discover new features of version 1.4, learn from other users experience and get an overview of the roadmap. More.
  • GLPI is 20 years old! A very interesting blog post as been published giving a lot of details about the history of the project. Always nice to take time to look back and see what has been accomplished. More.
  • LDAP Tool Box: release new versions of three tools: white pages (allows users to search and display data stored in an LDAP directory), Self Service Password (allows end users to change or reset their password if they lost it) and Service Desk (a web application for administrators and support teams). More.
  • PrestaShop did a live update sharing a lot of information about the project including future versions. For example, version 8.1 is ready to be translated and version 9.0 will requires PHP 8.1+. More.
  • XWiki: published version 15.4. This is mostly a bugfix release that includes important security bug fixes. It also contains some improvements for users and developers.More.
  • Rocket.Chat released the version 6.2.0 with support for auto link custom domain and many bug fixing. More.
  • LemonLDAP::NG published version 2.16.2 a patch version for 2.0.16 (it is now using semantic versionning). It fixes two security issues and several bugs. More.
  • BlueMind introduce AllBlueMind, a platform to access all resources useful to BlueMind users and contributors. It includes for example: links to documentation, short video tutorials, suggestion box, etc. More.

Project of the month

Sat4j is a library aiming at providing a simple and efficient open source library of SAT solvers in Java. Sat4J was received the CNRS Innovation Medalist in 2018. More.

[OW2con pre-event] Web technologies for applications, June 13, Paris

This workshop and coding contest is endorsed by W3C, Systematic, and OW2. It will provide insight into web technology trends and innovations with expert talks in the morning, and a student web app coding contest in the afternoon.

In the OW2 Ecosystem

2023 marks the 25th Anniversary of Open Source and of the creation of OSI (Open Source Initiative). Many celebrations will take place during the year. Enjoy meanwhile this brief look back in history.

 

In a few days, a new Lutece containerized package will be available and ready for testing, providing access to all required components and fuller functionality. Stay tuned!

In our Research Projects

The second NGI Search open call is now closed, but stay tuned for more funding opportunities in the area of Internet search this summer. Replay the recent webinars, including Open Research Webinar Episode #9.

 

The beta-testing platform remains open to OW2 members, research projects and SMEs wishing to collect feedback for their latest beta release or use cases. More.

Outlook

 

The 18th Teratec Forum took place recently in Paris with Alain Aspect (CNRS, Physics Nobel Prize 2022), and Thomas Skordas (DG Connect) as keynote speakers, also with greener HPC and AI solutions. More.

 

We have the project to organize in fall 2023 a one-day community event in Grenoble, in collaboration with local partners. More to come soon.
