\[OW2 Newsletter - July 2009 - From the OW2 Management Office]

Dear OW2 Members, Dear All,

Thanks to the active support of its members, over the next three months, OW2 will be showing its global reach by leading or taking part in events in North America (OSCON, July 20-24), Brazil (CONSEGI, August 26-28), China (OW2 Programming Contest award ceremony, September 18-20), and Europe (DaWaK 2009, Aug. 31 - Sep 2 and the FLOSS Community Summit and OW2 Experience Day at the Open World Forum October 1-2). We are doing our best to provide our members with a global community platform where they can share their codes and their experiences.

We'd like to remind you that we are offering companies seeking exposure in China and connection with top students from world-class universities, a unique opportunity to sponsor the OW2 Programming Contest. Check-out our (very affordable) sponsoring packages here.

We have two open calls for presentations:

- the first call is for Devoxx 2009: we want to propose technical presentations of OW2 projects at what is probably the largest Java conference in Europe. The (extended) deadline is July 10! Submit your proposal here.

- the second call is for the OW2 Experience Day: building on the success of the Case Study track at the OW2 Annual Conference, we will stage the OW2 Experience Day at the Open World Forum with joint presentations by project leaders and end-users dedicated to showing how OW2 projects are used by real-life companies. Submit your proposal here

Last but not least, we wish a great summer break to the lucky ones among you who are about to go on holiday!

Thank you for your support,

Cedric Thomas
