Dear OW2 Members, dear All,

It’s time for OW2con’22, focused on "Reliable and Predictable Open Source Software"!

More than ever, and despite we had to keep it remote once again, the online conference on June 8-9 attracts seasoned speakers from all over the world: among so many cutting-edge talks, discover the state-of-the-art of OSS governance and OSPOs, the mobile MiniApp standard in the OW2 "QuickApp initiative" track, new flagship projects like Centreon or PrestaShop and the way they meet OSS challenges...

More than ever, we rely on open source for the conferencing platform, mounting videos with Kdenlive and ShotCut, recording and broadcasting with OBS, going live on Jitsi and Rocket.Chat: a virtual event for us, a real one for OSS platforms!

OW2con'22 is also an occasion for Cédric Thomas to say goodbye to the community, in a keynote that we share to take stock of the past and draw up perspectives for the next OW2.

And, good news on the way back to real life, don't forget our face-to-face event in Paris end of June, with a social event for the community on the occasion of OW2 15th anniversary, and a dedicated Open Cloud by OW2 conference track at Cloud Datacenter + Infra.

Project Updates

GLPI: is available in the Cloud (at OVH) and can help you to plan and manage help desk, track digital assets, keep control of your finances and projects. More.
KNOWAGE: publish a release candidate for version 8.1 including new data preparation module, an updated look and feel for the administration panels, a new look and feel for end-user and a theme management feature. More.
PrestaShop: made available 1.7.8.6 maintenance release. It fixes 20 bugs including a major regression and also brings a few improvements. More.
XWiki: released version 14.4 which brings improvements related to the WYSIWYG editor when adding images and when inserting macros. As usual, there are also bug and security fixes. More.
LDAP Tool Box: published RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian packages of OpenLDAP version 2.5.12 and for the first time, packages for 2.6 major version! YUM and APT repositories have been updated to allow to choose from version 2.5 and 2.6. More.
Rocket.Chat: released version 4.8.0 with a long list of new features and improvements including: federation with Matrix (alpha), update of marketplace UI, new admin settings page and more. More.

Project of the month

CLIF is a multi-protocols, extendible load testing platform, including monitoring facilities, with optional integration to Eclipse IDE and Jenkins CI server. CLIF won the 2019 OW2 Best Project Market Award and reaches a Market Readiness Level of 4 "usefulness verified". More.

New Project

Centreon is an IT Infrastructure Monitoring open source project. The Centreon open source platform monitors end-to-end IT Infrastructure, from On-Premise to the Cloud to the Edge. More.
