June 2021 Newsletter

[OW2 Newsletter - June 2021 - From the OW2 Management Office]

Dear OW2 Members, dear All,

It’s time for OW2con’21! While the main theme of the conference, “Leveraging the European open source ecosystem”, is well illustrated by sessions on business models and governance, most of the talks concern technology. We, at OW2, continue to believe that, much more than certification and regulation, fostering our ecosystem's capacity to develop and deploy its own technologies is crucial in determining what our digital sovereignty will look like in the long-term. This is something pseudo-sovereign cloud strategies deployed in Europe seem to ignore.

This year again you will be able to attend our annual conference from the comfort of your desk. Check out the program, the short online attendee guide and join us on June 23-24 for two days of online keynotes, open source presentations, and interactive chats with the speakers. New this year: the interactive roundtable!

A big thank you to Platinum sponsor Orange, Gold Sponsor Huawei, Silver sponsors City of Paris, the Eclipse Foundation, Engineering, Morphemic, OnlyOffice, the Open Infrastructure Foundation, Microsoft, and Bronze sponsors Red Hat and Worteks. We appreciate their support!

We look forward to seeing you at OW2con'21 on June 23-24, register now!

Cedric Thomas
