December 2021 Newsletter

[OW2 Newsletter - December 2021 - From the OW2 Management Office]

Dear OW2 Members, dear All,

Last month we announced that in-person event OW2con’22 will be held on June 8-9. We are now happy to launch the call for presentations. The main theme this year “Reliable and Predictable Open Source Software” refers to the growing professionalism in the development of industry-grade open source software as well as its adoption by increasingly aware users. And of course, it is also a nod to OW2’s Market Readiness Levels composite index and the OSS Good Governance initiative methodology.

Check out the OSS Good Governance handbook released during the Paris Open Source Experience event on the OSPO Alliance website. The handbook describes the methodology and provides a template for customizing it to the specificities of each organisation. We are looking for early users to test and help us improve the methodology.

We are pleased to introduce new Corporate Member Secure Software Lab, a leading-edge research lab joining OW2 to provide long-term support to the DECODER project.

Some time during 2022 I will be moving on so OW2 is seeking a new CEO. The job offer has been published on several platforms and of course on the OW2 web site. Please take a look and get in touch if you believe you fit the bill or can recommend somebody who might.

Thanking you for your on-going support.

Cedric Thomas

PS: Project leaders: Please use your project dashboard to publish your updates. Your news will appear on our Project Marketplace home page and in this newsletter.
