We are proud to announce that OW2 is officially accepted into Google Summer of Code 2018 as a Mentoring Organization!

Join the program now and take this opportunity to spend the break between your school semesters earning a stipend while working in areas related to your interests. Student developers interested in submitting a GSoC proposal to OW2 should read the student guide information and take a look at OW2's ideas list below.

Two OW2 Topics have been proposed, based on the OW2 AuthzForce project:
- IoT Security module for trusted machines
- Security Policy Design Center

Google Summer of Code 2018 Timeline

  • February 12: Organizations announced (Interested students can now begin discussing project ideas with accepted mentor organizations)
  • March 12-27, 2018: Student Application Period (Students can register and submit their applications to mentor organizations)
  • March 27 - April 23, 2018: Application Review Period (Organizations select student proposals)
  • April 23, 2018: Student Projects Announced
  • April 23 - May 14, 2018: Community Bonding (Students spend a month learning more about their organization’s community)
  • May 14 - August 6, 2018: Coding
  • August 6 - August 14, 208: Students Submit Code and Final Evaluations
