By supporting AppHub's aspiration to become a key dissemination platform for open source software DreamHost further strengthens its leadership in the OpenStack marketplace.

OpenStack Summit, Barcelona, October 24, 2016 - OW2, the global community for open source infrastructure software, and DreamHost, a global leader in web hosting and cloud services for entrepreneurs and developers, are proud to announce their partnership on the AppHub marketplace, DreamHost becomes AppHub’s first Cloud Source Partner.

As an AppHub Cloud Source Partner, DreamHost is now directly linked to the AppHub platform and guarantees optimized self-service deployment to OpenStack to a large number of open source solutions available as ready-to-run VMs from the AppHub marketplace. AppHub Cloud Source Partners provide a distribution channel for open source components and projects.

Attendees at OpenStack Summit in Barcelona, October 24-28, can try the AppHub platform at OW2 booth #A19. Engineers on-site will show visitors how to select pre-configured open source software and download a ready-to-run software image.

“DreamHost is proud to be the first AppHub OpenStack-based Cloud Source Partner. The combination of the DreamHost Cloud with the dozens of ready-to-use enterprise applications on AppHub will provide tremendous value for open source producers, developers and consumers. We're delighted to offer new ways for open source developers to run applications in the cloud,” explains Stefano Maffulli, Director of Community and Marketing at DreamHost.

By early 2017, the AppHub marketplace will become the cloud-oriented self-service deployment platform for the OW2 community. “Browsing the OW2 AppHub marketplace, developers and end-users can select and customize innovative open source software stacks. They are now able to deploy ready-to-run images on their local environments or on their preferred cloud infrastructures including DreamHost's DreamCompute, a leading public cloud in the developer community,” adds OW2 CEO Ce?dric Thomas.

The AppHub marketplace sports some 100 projects and several dozens of read-to-deploy images. The platform is designed and operated by Fraunhofer FOKUS, UShareSoft and OW2. It combines software quality best practices and machine image automation in a free and convenient distribution channel for open source software.
