Dear OW2 Members, dear All,
Job offer! As we continue to extend the support we provide to our members, OW2 is seeking a Software Engineer. The software engineer’s main responsibility will be to help implement the OW2 Process with a focus on software testing and general project sustainability analysis. This is a high-visibility position for an experienced developer with demonstrated ability to deliver and excellent communication skills. Check out the job description.
What we now call the OW2 Process (check out the infographics) is our way to create value for our projects. This process is comprised of four sections: Technology, Governance, Quality and Delivery. We provide developers with state-of-the-art technical infrastructure, foster transparent governance and best practices (including in the business model) to guarantee genuine open source projects, verify project quality and sustainability through our innovative market-readiness program and help disseminate the code through our marketplace and outreach activities. The OW2 Process encompasses the entire open source project value chain. A work in progress, our priority for the next few months is to properly package the OW2 Process.
On another note, OW2con'18 is scheduled for the beginning of June 2018, ideally Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6. Save the date! The next meeting of the board of Directors will take place Thursday September 14.

- LemonLDAP::NG 1.9.11 is out! It comes with bug fixes and enhancements including a LinkedIn authentication module and some updates related to SAML. Read more.
- The first XWiki online meetup will take place 7 September, 18:00 CEST and XWiki 9.7 has been released.
- Prelude SIEM has a new probe: Kismet Wireless can now send alerts to Prelude when strange behavior is discovered on wifi.

21-22 March 2018 Cloud Expo Europe will take place in London while Cloud Computing World Expo will take place in Paris. Contact us if you plan to share our OW2 booth there.
