[OW2 Newsletter - May 2017 - From the OW2 Management Office]

Dear OW2 Members, dear All,

I am pleased to share with you our 10 year anniversary collaterals and infographics. Our next newsletter will provide full details of the OW2con'17 program. The Call for Presentations closes tomorrow May 5th, our programme is almost full but there are still a few speaking slots available. Hurry! I am delighted to announce the first of our guest speakers: Gabriele Ruffatti will share his strategic vision of open source and experience with OW2 while Simon Phipps will tell us how hee sees open source over the next ten years. Remember: OW2con'17 June 26-27 at the new Orange Gardens Innovation Center near Paris. Save the date!

The testimonials that continue to arrive for our 10th anniversary confirm the founding vision of OW2: open source is as much an approach for cooperative software engineering as it is for market development and user empowerment. Hence OW2's role as an independent open source organization that serves as a neutral platform for software communities as well as business ecosystems. Don't be shy, send us your own testimonial -- what OW2 represents for you, a personal anecdote, good wishes for the future, etc. Go for it!

This month we are pleased to welcome new OW2 Corporate Member Rocket.Chat, a winner of Black Duck 2015 Open Source Rookies of the Year and Infoworld 2016 Bossie Awards. We are planning to deploy their web chat platform on OW2's technical infrastructure for use by our members.

Thanking for your on-going support,

Cedric Thomas

PS: Project leaders: Please use your project dashboard to publish your updates. Your news will appear on our home page and in this newsletter.
