Call For Posters at the OW2 Annual Conference 2009


Poster sessions are informal presentations that provide an opportunity to share innovative ideas and new applications of technology. This is an excellent way to explain and visually showcase a technology and stimulate informal discussion between presenters and audience members.

Call for Posters

In parallel of the conference program, 2 poster sessions are organized:

  • Poster Session 1 : The Fractal Component Model Ecosystem ( a specific CALL has circulated through the Fractal community mailing lists. Please contact us for further details). 
  • Poster Session 2 : Other OW2 Projects. 

The present CALL is related to the 2nd Poster Session.All OW2 projects are eligible to submit one proposal of poster.

Important Dates

Poster submission: March 16, 2009
Notification of acceptance: March 23, 2009
Poster session: April 2, 2009

Guideline

Content of posters is free, although it should mention the open source license of the project and provide project information displayed in a visually interesting manner to community members. Poster proposals focusing solely on a commercial product will not be accepted.

Posters have to be written in English. The dimensions of posters is free, although our prefered size is A0 (vertical presentation) and we request authors to include the OW2 Logo (on top of the poster, left or right side). Logos can be found here.

A display area for poster presentations will be provided. The scheduled time for the presenters to stand with their posters is April 2 from 12:00 to 12:45AM and during break time. All presenters are expected to attend.

PDF versions of poster are to be sent to: Technology Council by March 16.

A selection committee composed of the members of the OW2 Technology Council will review the posters and send notifications by March 23.

Selected posters will be published on the OW2 Conference web site. Authors of selected posters will be requested to register to the "OW2 Conference" session.
