Learn more about OW2 and OCEAN Project during Kansai Open Source Conference

Around 1300 IT professionals attended the Open Source Conference *Kansai@Kyoto* last August 2013.
This event, organized by the Open Source Conference Committee in cooperation with Kyoto Research Park Corp. and Net Co. Ltd, hosted 80 booths with Japanese Open Source contributors and integrating partners.

Together, the OW2 community and the OCEAN project consortium will provide two sessions during the next edition of this major Japanese OSS Conference. They will take this opportunity to reinforce ongoing collaboration with Japanese developers, academics, industrials and researchers. 

The Open Source Conference in Kyoto:

OSS Kansai@Kyoto will be held in Kyoto on August 1-2, 2014. 

During the first OCEAN/OW2 session, at 1:00pm on August 1st, Yuri Glickman, Researcher at Fraunhofer Fokus Institute and OCEAN project manager will present the Open Cloud Directory, among other OCEAN services. Then, Cedric Thomas, OW2 CEO, will provide an overview of the OW2 Open Source ecosystem, its diverse community, OW2 main collaborative projects and current initiatives regarding Cloud computing, Big Data and Future Internet Software and Services. 

The second session, at 2:00pm on August 1st, will allow several EC-funded Open Cloud projects to describe their open source related activities and results.

  • August 1st 2014 - 2:00pm - 2:45pm - European Commission-funded Open Cloud projects presentations with recent open source results. More details about speaking cloud experts and their respective projects will be provided soon.
