Website news - Two great pieces of news today: we have successfully migrated our website to the latest version of XWiki and our Chinese Web site has now gone live - All our thanks and congratulations to LI Shu Qiang (CVIC-SE) for the Chinese website and to Alessandro Taurelli (OW2/Engineering) and Jeremy Casery (OW2/Bull) for the migration.

Open World Forum - Join us and discover the future of open source at the Open World Forum, to be held on December 1-2, in Paris. The Open World Forum features the first OW2 TechDay Implementing the agile computing infrastructure where we will showcase the OW2 code base.

DeVoxx - Once again, OW2 is a partner in this major event for the Java community in Europe. There will be a booth shared by six OW2 members and four presentations dedicated to OW2 projects. Come and join us in Antwerp, Belgium, on December 8-12, 2008.

OW2 Quarterly Meeting - The next Quarterly Meeting will take place in Paris along with the Open World Forum on December 2-3. Save the date and see the full agenda here.

Recent events - The China Local Chapter organized a number of meetings for OW2 Management Office. We presented OW2 at the Beijing Open Source Camp as well as at the Programing Contest award ceremony and workshop. We also gave a keynote speach at the IPA Forum in Tokyo analyzing open source and competitiveness from the end-user perspective.

Joining the OW2 Consortium

The OW2 Consortium is an open source community committed to making available to everyone the best and most reliable middleware technology. OW2 mission is to develop open source code middleware and to foster a vibrant community and business ecosystem.

The OW2 Consortium was initiated on January 1, 2007 through the merger of ObjectWeb and Orientware, two leading open source middleware communities of renown industry players, innovative start-ups, prominent academic organizations and individuals from across the world.

As an organization or an individual, you must first download and read the Bylaws and the Intellectual Property Rights from the Legal Resources page.

Then, go to the Online Registration page, complete the form and send your filled Membership Agreement to he address shown on the document. Former ObjectWeb and Orientware members should note that membership is not automatically transferred from either ObjectWeb or Orientware to OW2.
