*Paris, March 3rd, 2011* – The OW2 community will be on site at the In The Cloud exposition from 8th to 10th March, 2011 at Porte de Versailles, Paris, France, to disclose key elements of the recently-launched CompatibleOne project.

Carried out by a consortium of 15 partners, the CompatibleOne collaborative project is developing an open cloudware for the creation, deployment and management of private, public and hybrid cloud platforms. The project addresses the three layers of Cloud Computing with a global and unified solution.

Representatives from CompatibleOne will be disclosing nascent technologies that contribute to the CompatibleOne open source cloudware stack.

First of all, visitors will be able to discover on the OW2 booth the first version of CompatibleOne’s XML language for universal accounting and billing. CompatibleOne partner Nexedi will present this core component of the project. The open source cloudware billing system is based on SlapOS and on the ERP5 Cloud Engine both of them from Nexedi.

Visitors will also learn about CompatibleOne’s evolving Cloud Resource Service and Description Language (CRSDL) and Cloud Request Expression Language (CREL) based on W3C Widgets technology standards. Jamie Marshall, CTO of CompatibleOne partner Prologue SA and author of the ABAL programming language, will be on the stand to discuss these breakthrough developments.

CompatibleOne is an open project, its software will be made available to the global open source community through the OW2 Open Source Cloudware initiative (OCSi). The OSCi is the vehicle through which participants from all over the world can join in the action.
