Dear OW2 Members, Dear All,
We have a busy community schedule this month with the meeting of the
technology council on March 15, the meeting of the
board of directors and our
general assembly on March 17, and the
elections
of corporate and individual members representatives to
the board of
directors (candidate registration is now open, all
details to apply
here).
OW2 is a non-profit open source organization and, unlike most
conventional companies, we thrive on transparency which is why, every
year, we hold an election. It is not about politics and endless
discussions, it is about democracy and community empowerment. This is
your community, it will become what you want it to be: it is both your
right and your duty to participate.
This is also a month of active communication: come and visit us at
Solution Linux, where OW2 will be a major
attraction with our Village on the exhibition floor, our
one-daydedicated conference track and our wine and cheese party. We are
launching the
2010 OW2 Programming Contest, check our (very
affordable)
sponsoring packages. The press published our
OW2 CEOs' market perspectives, which we issued
following a tradition brought to us by our friends from the Open
Solutions Alliance.
We have scheduled the
migration
of all our applications to our more powerful machines
on March 19. Don't plan anything major for that day!
Thank you for your contributions,
