fOSSa ConferenceOctober 26-28, 2011Lyon, France
Co-organized by two OW2 members: INRIA and Engineering, together with IRILL, INSA de Lyon (CITI Lab), fOSSa is a conference where open source insiders, human beings, scientific, developers and industrials meet, collaborate & nurture open source at large.
At fOSSa people will discuss in an open-minded context about:
- what tech people are actually doing and innovating
- which are the upcoming issues & challenges in the open source development context
- how open activities, collaboration and knowledge sharing is beneficial to academia, education & industry.
The program includes talks about Education, Online Community Management & Promotion, New Innovating Development & Contribution Paradigm, Openness and OSS trends.
This year fOSSa welcomes various well-known free and opensource software figures such as Simon Phipps (ForgeRock, OSI board), Francois Elie (Adullact président), Adrian Bowyer (RepRap OSS Printers), Roberto Di Cosmo (IRILL), Francois Bancilhon (Open Data initiative), Alexis Moussine-Pouchkine (Oracle, Angel or Deamon?), Nicolas De Loof (CloudBees), Philippe Scoffoni (Consultant) and Milo Casagrande (Ubuntu).
