The goal of fOSSa (Free Open Source Academia Conference) is to reaffirm the underlying values of open source software: innovation & research in software development. The first edition aimed at providing valuable information about the open Source model at large (Benefits, Business Models, Legal Issues, Quality…), the second edition will focus on specific aspect we feel are key in a renovation of FOSS: Development, innovation & research, Community management & promotion, Public sector, Education. This original & unique event is organized in the capital of the French Alpes: Grenoble!
fOSSa days are open to everyone, with free registration.
Alexandre Lefebvre, France Telecom and OW2 CTO, will give a presentation: "The OW2 programming contest in China: a success story", schedule: November 9, 11am. A number of OW2 projects and members will be represented during the workshops, including:
- Charles Souillard from BonitaSoft, "BonitaSoft, the BPM game-changer",
- Emmanuel Rias from Bull, "Feedback on the use of NovaForge in a production environment"
- Didier Donsez from Grenoble University, "AspireRFID, OSS RFID Tooling & Framework"
- Davide Della Carbonare from Engineering, "Spago4Q, Quality monitoring in OSS Projects".
