OW2 announces the China Open Source Week

Bringing together several open source events the first edition of China Open Source Week enhances the profile of open source software as a credible commercial alternative

*OSCON Conference, Portland, July 25* - OW2, the global open source community for open source middleware and generic applications announces the China Open Source Week, organized from October 11 to October 17, 2011 in Beijing and Nanjing, China.

The China Open Source Week (COSW) is the grouping together of several open source events and meetings in the same week in order to achieve maximum efficiency and benefits for the attendees. The ambition of the COSW is to extend the reach of open source beyond the scope of universities and build awareness for open source as a business model, as a credible way to develop, use and distribute software.
