56 56 **Abstract**: Clients of IaaS providers are looking for dependable infrastructures that can cope with their SLA requirements. To stay attractive, a cloud must then rely on a VM placement algorithm with features matching as possible the SLAs expectations. These constraints are however very specific to each of the tenants but also the infrastructure. They also cover a large range of concerns (reliability, performance, security, energy-efficiency, ...) that are continuously evolving according to new trends and new technologies. Current VM placement algorithms are designed as monolithic systems. Clouds administrators and clients are then passive actors, waiting for the future release of the placement algorithm that may match their current expectations. During this presentation, we will present BtrPlace, an open source VM manager that can be specialized on demand by third party developers to integrate new placement constraints. BtrPlace has already been used successfully to address high-availability, security but also energy-efficiency concerns. It has been developped since 2006 in the Mines de Nantes then with the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis. It is now a part of the OpenCloudware project that aims at building an open platform for the development and the deploymet of distributed application on clouds.

62 -**Abstract**:This session discusses how ISVs and OW2 projects can easily onboard their software to cloud. IT cloud app stores and marketplaces are now beginning to emerge. In the near future, such stores will be a new way for ISVs to accelerate their business and grow user adoption. However today, preparing applications for cloud app stores often requires lengthy, manual processes to build software images. Often, these processes are not agile enough to easily support multiple hypervisors and clouds, or quickly implement software updates. ISVs need tools that model software images as templates, as well as automating the assembly and maintenance processes. By using a model-driven approach, ISVs can easily support multiple hypervisors as well as hybrid cloud environments.

61 +**Abstract**: The PLAY project (http://www.play-project.eu) is developing an elastic and reliable architecture for dynamic and complex, event-driven interaction in large highly distributed and heterogeneous service systems. Such an architecture will enable ubiquitous exchange of information between heterogeneous services, providing the possibilities to adapt and personalize their execution, resulting in the so-called situational-driven process adaptivity.

64 -UShareSoft's UForge image template management platform enables ISVs and OW2 projects to package applications as customizable software templates or ready-to-run VMs available for instant publish to any cloud infrastructure or market place. The session will cover how OW2 projects can benefit from UForge as well as providing a short demonstration of the UForge factory and app store in action.

83 83 **Abstract:** The presentation deals with the description of a simple open platform as a service (Paas) dedicated to open innovation. This platform is based on the smart integration of free software components and promote the massive usage of open technologies (LAMP, Asterisk, OpenSIPS) and open API. It has been deployed in Africa and used to stimulate open innovation in emerging countries. It allows rapid prototyping of “telco-web” micro-services on over the top of traditional operator networks using open APIs (SMS, vocal access). It aims to build a reference library of business applications under free licenses. The project has recently joined OW2 and aims to publish 2 versions of the solution: a standalone version and a Telco grade version. See the main portal http://www.emerginov.org for more details. Keywords: Co-innovation, free software, micro-service, SMS, Voice
