\[OW2 Newsletter - August 2009 - From the OW2 Management Office]

Dear OW2 Members, Dear All,

This month's high point for OW2 is the CONSEGI conference in Brazilia (August 26-28). At CONSEGI, OW2 will be well represented through several presentations by Jean-Pierre Laisne, Gaël Blondelle and myself. We also have several meetings scheduled with participants in the Brazil Local Chapter in Brazilia, Fortaleza and Sao Paulo.

We currently have five confirmed presentations and seven proposals pending confirmation in response to our OW2 Experience Day call for presentations in the framework of the Open World Forum. You might have a chance to grab the last presentation slot. Submit your proposal here

We are still offering companies seeking exposure in China and connections with top students from world-class universities, a unique opportunity to sponsor the OW2 Programming Contest. Check-out our (very affordable) sponsoring packages here

OW2 is shifting into summer mode and similar to many companies in the northern hemisphere, OW2 will not be operating at full speed until end-August. Your contacts this summer at OW2 (contact details are here):
- Technical infrastructure issues: Jeremy Casery
- Community issues: Cherry Bian or, from August 17, Catherine Nuel

Thank you for your support,

Cedric Thomas
