OW2 Newsletter - April 2011 - From the OW2 Management Office

Dear OW2 Members, dear All,

There is a real marketing and communication drive at OW2 this year.  Don't worry, nothing too extravagant and, as usual, we need your help ;-)   Here is what we have in mind.
First of all, we need to develop project success stories. We know we have good technologies but it's no good us saying it. We must find users appreciative of their OW2 code and who are willing to say what they do with it and how it addresses their needs. Check out some examples [here>http://www.ow2.org/view/NewsEvents/SuccessStories>blank]. Can you help us? All you have to do is give us the right contact names, we'll do the rest.

Next we are looking at using videos to show what we do in meetings, promote our presentations and broadcast our presentations. The challenge: we don't have the budget to outsource and no video specialist in the OW2 Management Office. So, another call for help: we're toying with the idea of creating a team of Video Volunteers. They would be invited on site to our events, and produce a three to five minute report. Any volunteers? Write to us!

Lastly, we want to meet with our current members and promote OW2 to potential members. In 2011 alone there are meeting scheduled in Germany, USA, Brazil and China. See the details below. Our members are our best promoters. We need you to help us meet your peers, your partners, your customers and, why not, your competitors; after all they all have their roles in the OW2 business ecosystem.

Board elections, this year, only Individual Members need to vote. If you are a registered OW2 Individual Member, don't forget, please vote [here>http://www.ow2.org/Main/Election2011Individual>blank].
